Laser skin resurfacing, also referred to as laser peeling, uses a controlled, precision beam of laser energy to vaporize damaged skin so that healthy, unmarked skin can be seen at the surface. Allowing for safe, exact penetration of depth into the dermis, laser skin resurfacing can be customized for superficial peeling as with a MicroLaserPeel™ or for deeper corrective repair. BEAUTI-MED’s state of the art Sciton Profile Er:Yag laser dramatically improves the skin’s appearance, giving you smoother, healthier skin with unmatched glow.
Often referred to as “The Weekend Peel”, a MicroLaserPeel is a mini laser resurfacing that only treats the topmost layers of the skin. Ideal for people whose lives are constantly on the go, the MicroLaserPeel will quickly improve skin with lasting results, minimal recovery time and little post-treatment care. Depending on the depth of the laser peel, healing will take approximately 3-4 days, during which time your skin will feel and look sunburned with minor peeling. By the fourth day, skin will be healed to the point where you can effectively cover any residual redness with glō™ mineral based makeup. Many patients prefer to have the procedure on a Thursday or Friday so that they can return to work well into the healing process the following Monday.
This procedure is for patients with more severe skin damage who are looking for dramatic, longer term results. Laser Skin Resurfacing penetrates deeper into the dermis than a MicroLaserPeel, requiring a longer recovery time. Depending on the depth of your Laser Skin Resurfacing you can expect healing to take from seven days to 2-3 weeks.
To ensure your comfort, a topical anesthetic is administered prior to the procedure. To promote healing, Dr. Curry will prescribe Complex Cu3™ Intensive Tissue Repair Cream, a post laser emulsion containing copper-peptides to soothe, hydrate and speed up healthy cell renewal.
MicroLaserPeel and Laser Skin Resurfacing procedures give very visible results and patients report that they are extremely satisfied with their outcome. “I can’t stop touching my skin”, one patient exclaimed. “I love the way my new face feels!”
